The UIRC110 USB to RS-422/485 Isolator enables you to attach an RS-422/485 device and gains isolation from voltage spikes and ground loops. It passed the safety certification of IEC/EN62368-1 to keep operators and system equipment safe and also offers surge and ESD protection on the RS-422/485 data lines. There are up to 32 devices for RS422 and 32 devices for RS485. RS422 or RS485 is a balanced differential signaling system, and when the transmission line is long, the signal can reflect back and interfere with the original signal. Based on this, our isolator also has a termination resistor design for RS422 or RS485 communication to reduce signal reflections and ensure signal integrity.
The UIRC110 comes with a function called Echo to assist an on-site personnel to detect the isolator if it is workable when the isolator is at the RS485 half-duplex mechanism.
